The Opportunity:

As we continue to expand and disrupt the market, we are seeking a highly skilled, creative Product Designer to join our growing design team. This role presents a unique opportunity to help build a state of the art product that will make its mark in the procurement world. Reporting to the Manager Engineering, you will be part of a collaborative design team playing a key role in shaping PayShepherd’s success.

Your Responsibilities will involve:

User Research and Analysis:

Conduct user research to understand user needs, preferences, and pain points.
Analyze user feedback, behavior data, and market trends to inform design decisions.
Utilize various research methods such as interviews, surveys, usability testing, and analytics tools.

UI/UX Design:

Develop wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity designs that effectively communicate product concepts and functionality.
Create user flows, journey maps, and information architectures to optimize the user experience.
Ensure designs align with brand guidelines and maintain consistency across all platforms and devices.

Collaboration and Communication:

Collaborate closely with product managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to understand project requirements and constraints.
Present design concepts and rationale to cross-functional teams and stakeholders, and incorporate feedback into iterative design cycles.
Effectively communicate design decisions, trade-offs, and recommendations based on user research and best practices.

Interaction Design and Prototyping:

Design intuitive and interactive user interfaces that facilitate user engagement and task completion.
Create interactive prototypes using tools such as Figma or similar software.
Conduct usability testing on prototypes to gather feedback and iterate on designs.

Continuous Learning and Improvement:

Stay updated on industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in UX/UI design.
Seek feedback from peers and mentors to enhance design skills and knowledge.
Actively participate in design critiques, workshops, and training sessions to foster a culture of continuous improvement.

Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in Design, Human-Computer Interaction, or a related field.
3+ years of experience in UI/UX design for web and mobile applications.
Proficiency in design tools such as Figma or similar software.
Strong portfolio showcasing your design process, problem-solving skills, and attention to detail.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to articulate design decisions and rationale.
Experience working in an agile development environment is a plus.
Knowledge of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript is desirable but not required.
